Undermount Stainless Steel Single Bowl Sinks

Written by Dianne Aucello | Feb 9, 2012 10:09:00 PM

With all the solid surface countertop options, such as granite, an under mount sink is an added bonus.

My preference is for undermount stainless steel single bowl sink; very easy to clean and keep clean.  The options now include accessories to make prepping a lot easier for the cook.  Here are some of my personal favorite single bowls:

This Franke Orca sink is wide and deep, and the faucet can remain in the center, like the sink base cabinet.  The options include cutting board with colander, separate colander, and a utility bowl, which makes the sink a double bowl temporarily.

I like many features of this Native Trails sink.  It is recycled copper, has a hammered finish and the integrated drain board which is sloped to help with draining.  Available in antique or brushed nickel, it is an excellent choice for a prep sink.

Here is an interesting concept if you cannot decide between a single bowl or a double bowl.  Dawn Sinks offers this large 30" wide single bowl with an acrylic glass divider for the times that you need a second bowl.

Kohler's Stages 33" sink has a raised portion to chopping, a utensil tray for soaking knves, a cutting board and 6 prep bowls.  Everything easily fits into the stoage rack that fits inside the sink cabinet.
