Chances are that when you bought or built your home, your kitchen was everything you wanted it to be. With all of the new updates available today however, [you may find yourself wanting to upgrade](https://www.edesiakbs.com/blog/before-and-after-kitchen-for-a-cook) your kitchen to the current times, and also to the current size of your family if it has grown. The good news is that in 2020, the possibilities are endless. From smart appliances like sink faucets that work with voice command, to ovens that have built in air fryers, remodeling your kitchen comes with many choices and  those choices will affect how much your total project costs.  [Edesia Kitchen and Bath Studio](https://edesiakbs.com/contact-us) gives you an award winning personalized experience from start to finish.  According to [Home Stratosphere,](https://www.homestratosphere.com/kitchen-cost-guide/) the average price of a modern kitchen remodel is about $45,000. Keep in mind upgrades like custom cabinetry, granite or marble countertops, and  how large your kitchen is (as well as high end appliances) could take your remodel cost all the way to $100,000.  Take a look at [this high-end custom kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/elegant-classic-kitchen-remodel-pj-vj~2923912) designed by Edesia for reference.  To break down some of the cost, here is a list of the most common upgrades done in a remodel.   #### Countertops Countertops are the focal point of your kitchen. If done correctly, they bring elegance and charm to a kitchen where those qualities were lacked before. Countertops are also where the bulk of your expense is going to come from. Consumers have many countertop choices today, with popular choices being [laminate, and granite.](https://keystone-granite.com/8-reasons-choose-granite-kitchen-countertops-vs-laminate/) Laminate is budget friendly, but it lacks the sharp look and appeal a kitchen gets from granite. Laminate can mock the look of granite, but it lacks the shine, and the feel. Edesia offers custom countertops, so you can relax knowing  you are being offered the best choices. You can expect to spend anywhere from $100 to $250 per square foot on granite countertops.    #### Cabinets Your cabinets are another focal point. Quality cabinets go a long way, so even though it may be tempting to buy them from a local store, you want to consider custom cabinets, which Edesia provides. The difference between store bought cabinets and custom made cabinets is in the quality of the material, and the overall look of the finished project, and the difference in storage capability. Custom cabinets bring a whole new atmosphere to your kitchen that assembly line cabinets do not. The edgings, trim, knobs, and [specific details](https://www.hgtv.com/design/remodel/kitchen-remodel/custom-kitchen-cabinets) that go into custom cabinets are sure to leave your visitors amazed at how classy your kitchen is. The cost of custom cabinets range from $500 to $1500 per linear foot. If your kitchen is large, your cabinets could be one of the most expensive parts of your remodel.    #### Appliances Technology is in. Stainless steel appliances are in. Put them together, and you have every homeowners ideal appliance bundle (but your finishes are not limited; matte black finish is a new trend, as well as fingerprint resistant). Fridges and stoves that work with Bluetooth and WiFi are super convenient, allowing you to preheat your oven and add to your shopping list from your smartphone. People are also putting [built in vacuum sealers](https://www.edesiakbs.com/blog/how-kitchen-designs-are-changing-to-support-healthy-living-trends) in their kitchens, as the trend of eating fresh and healthy food keeps on surging. [Kitchen sinks](https://www.edesiakbs.com/blog/kitchen-sink-accessories-you-wont-want-to-live-without) are not all that expensive when compared to other parts of a remodel, but your faucet can be as fancy or basic as you want it to be depending on how much you are willing to pay. Items like built in soap dispensers, and pull down water hoses are trending kitchen upgrades. At the high end, you can expect to pay anywhere from $10,000 or more for a modern appliance bundle with smart technology.    #### Now that you have an idea of the cost of remodeling your kitchen, we want to hear from you.
